Waiting

I'm in my eye doctor's waiting room this morning because the redness and discomfort that developed in my right eye late last week is worse.
Never a dull moment, eh?

Later:
The doc says it's nothing really serious like an infected corneal abradion - just some inflammation that we're treating with steroid eyedrops and anti-inflammatory meds. He wants me back a week from Wednesday for follow-up. In the meantime, it's glasses and no contacts.
He dilated my pupils just for good measure and sent me out into the blazing Arkansas morning sun with sunglasses inserts for my glasses. Now, at 1:45 p.m., I'm starting to get some clarity back in my vision.
