This half-liter stein commemorates Reg Pridmore’s 1976 racing campaign that won him the very first AMA Superbike Championship.
Pridmore competed on a BMW R90S sponsored by Butler & Smith, the Norwood, N.J. and Compton, Calif. importers of BMW motorcycles to the United States.
The British-born Pridmore was inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame in 2002. He celebrated his 70th birthday last July 15. He was also the founder of the CLASS motorcycle schools.
His son Jason became an AMA road racing champion of the 1990s and early 2000s.
