The folks at Honda of Jonesboro, unable to replicate my del Sol’s power steering problem, suggested I arrange to leave it with them overnight sometime 
soon, so they can experience it when they start it the next day.
I decided to wait a couple of days to try their approach.
So, like any good intermittent gremlin, the problem didn’t appear when I started the car this morning to drive to the post office and in to town.
Hmmm.
Maybe they accidentally fixed it in their tinkering yesterday. Or maybe not. I remain guardedly optimistic.
