Arkansas Austin

We may have recruited a new Arkansas resident.

Discussions this morning have resulted in a loosely structured plan for Austin to find a job, rent an apartment and officially move from Indiana to Arkansas.

His ultimate goal is to become a firefighter, but he has solid training and a fondness for construction and carpentry, so we're going to try to hook him up with a decent job. While the construction industry is pretty much flat-lined in Indiana, it's quite healthy here in northeast Arkansas.

The plan is for him to live with us for a couple of weeks, during which time he'll find work and a place of his own. Sounds somewhat daunting, but we think it's doable.

And Maria won't have to worry about what's become of her son.
