I filled the tank of my del Sol yesterday afternoon at the Murphy Oil station on Stadium Avenue for $3.55 a gallon.
Checking arkansasgasprices.com, I see gas is selling for as little as $3.29 in Monticello, Ark., and in the $3.30s around Hot Springs.
But even at $3.55, I’m paying 10¢ a gallon less than the cheapest price available in Indiana – $3.65 at the Swifty station in New Albany, Ind. – and 39¢ a gallon less than the cheapest price in Crawfordsville.
Here are the lowest prices available this morning in selected U.S. cities:
- Las Vegas – $3.55
- Portland, Ore. – $3.68
- Breckenridge, Colo. – $3.73
- Sierra Vista, Ariz. – $3.63
- Indianapolis – $3.74
- Monterey, Calif. – $3.92
- Nashville, Tenn. – $3.29
- Chicago – $3.91
- New York City – $3.87
- Los Angeles – $3.79
- Key West, Fla. – $3.97
- Burlington, Vt. – $3.82

Saw $4.19 coming into Indy from the south on SR67 today. Not that high everywhere thankfully.
