Today’s entry:
Day 12, March 5: Col Travis drew his famous line in the sand asking those willing to die defending the Alamo to cross over. Everyone crossed over except Louis Rose, a mercenary and Napoleon veteran who stated that he was not ready to die.
Even James Bowie was carried over as he lay in his cot. Cannonading continued all day.
