BMW Motorcycle Rally Pin of the Day

This is the pin from the 1994 BMW Riders Association Rally in Farmington, Minn.

I think it was the first time I’d ridden a motorcycle in Minnesota. It felt like any other state.

I was deep into one of my annual mid-life crises and had let my Korean hairdresser dye my hair to match hers. I’m the second from the right in this photo.
