THORNTOWN, Ind. – We got our fill of driving in the rain yesterday in what turned out to be about a nine-hour slog up to Indiana.
We were in rain the entire 455 miles. It turned into a deluge the last hour or two as we drove east into Indiana on I-70 along with a couple of thousand trucks. We exited at Greencastle and took U.S. 231 up to Crawfordsville, Ind 32 east to Dover and Ind. 75 to Thorntown.
The picture is on I-57 just north of Cairo, Ill., where there are usually lots of police lying in wait for speeders.
We’re staying with Maria’s parents and visiting her brothers over the next couple of days.
