Labor Day, 99 years later

cornerstone

It was 99 years ago when my dad, then 6 years old, took the history of Democrat Township of Carroll County, Indiana from his father, Democrat Township Trustee Irvin M. Flora, and placed it into the time capsule in the cornerstone of the Carroll County Courthouse.

My family goes way back in Carroll County history. Floras were the first white settlers in the county.

I assume the town of Flora is named for your family?
