Did you ever notice that many Chinese restaurants hand out fortune cookies that don't contain anything predictive.
Instead, you get advice, like "rotate your tires" or "be nice to animals."
We found a Chinese eatery today where they prepare your order right in front of you for take-out or dine-in, rather than the ubiquitous buffet.
The garlic chicken was good, but could have used some more spice, and the servings were very generous for $4.50.
But the capper came when I broke open my fortune cookie and found "A nice cake is waiting for you" bracketed by smiley faces.
Now that's a fortune cookie.
