Helmet improvements
After five years of use, the latch mechanisms on my HJC helmet are wearing out. The one on the right side has become increasingly hard to work when it comes to reattaching the face shield after cleaning it. And the one on the left side let go of the face shield as I was getting onto I-40 at Jackson, Tenn. a couple of weeks ago.
I found replacement parts online for $15.99. They arrived this morning and now, after simply undoing and redoing five screws, they are in place and the improvement is noticeable. Now, I'm waiting for the UPS guy to bring me a replacement face shield later today.
