It looks like at least one of our four kwanzan flowering cherry trees is going to bloom this spring.
I photographed these buds a few minutes ago and inspected the other three. They’re all showing green buds, but nothing suggesting flowers yet.
Spring seems a little late this year. We’re just now starting to see a hint of a green haze on the trees when we peer into the woods and our dogwood tree seems to be struggling to put on buds.
