Here I am at 11:03 a.m., Saturday, February 22, 2003, at Revard BMW Motorcycles in Indianapolis.
It was the first time I sat on what was to become my new ride – a 2003 BMW K1200GT. It’s taken me to the West Coast a couple of times, the Colorado Rockies several times, Daytona Bike Week twice, and BMW MOA rallies in Charleston, W.Va. (2003); Spokane, Wash. (2004); Lima, Ohio (2005); Essex Junction, Vt. (2006); Gillette,Wyo. (2008); Johnson City, Tenn. (2009); Redmond, Ore. (2010); and Sedalia, Mo. (2012).
