I think I can feel a little more of my lip this morning.
We made an early run to Home Depot for Delta faucet parts for the kitchen sink, AA batteries and 3-way light bulbs (they haven’t figured out how to make a 3-way fluorescent bulb yet).
Then it was on to Sam’s Club and now Maria is finishing up at Kroger while I have coffee at Books-A-Million.
BMW friends Deb and Charlie rode down to Hot Springs for the weekend and Austin is dog-sitting for them. They called last night to report that Charlie dumped his R1200GS when he stopped and stepped into a hole. Trying to protect his hip replacement, he stuck out his left arm and badly sprained his wrist. They wanted to alert us that if he wasn’t able to use his clutch hand today, they would need to be retrieved with the SUV and trailer at their home.
We checked again this morning and Charlie said it was better and that they were going to attempt the ride home. Nevertheless, we remain on stand-by in case a rescue is needed.
And, yes, we remembered to set our clocks back an hour this morning to mark the end of Daylight Saving Time. I’ll enjoy the earlier sunrise, but curse the earlier sunset.
