I photographed about 230 costumed kids last evening as part of the paper's Halloween coverage.
They trooped through the front door with their parents, posed for individual portraits with or without mask (their choice) and collected a bag of candy on the way out.
Maria had the hard part - coaxing smiles and positioning kids with their sequential number and names on a sheet of paper held about waist-high (cropped out in the final publication, of course). They ran about 80 in today's paper and will publish the rest tomorrow and Tuesday.
I told this kid in the demon outfit that I'd have to reshoot the picture because he had his eyes closed. He laughed.
