Joseph Carnevale, 21, Raleigh, N.C. was arrested this week after Raleigh Police determined he was responsible for creating this piece of public artwork on May 31 on a road next to the North Carolina State University campus. He was charged with misdemeanor larceny for allegedly building his orange creature from construction zone barrels.
The charging information alleges he damaged contractor Hamlett Associates’s property to the tune of $360. He goes to court July 12.
I think they ought to pay him for making it impossible for drivers to ignore a construction zone and thus creating safer conditions for road workers and motorists.
