Cool special effects
When I stopped by Fred Ropkey's Armor Museum (www.ropkeyarmormuseum.com) the other day, his right-hand man Skip showed me some photos processed with a nifty program called Photomatix. I downloaded a copy and am very impressed with the creative stuff you can do with it. It's a standalone program, rather than a Photoshop plug-in and it requires at least three bracketed exposures of the same photo.
Fortunately, I can program our D200 and D100s to shoot 3,5,7 or 9 bracketed exposures at high speed automatically, which eliminates the need for a tripod in most situations.
Here's our house and a plaza in a nearby town. (Click on the photos to see them BIG.)
