Diagram this sentence. Oh, yeah, you don’t know how, do you?

What's wrong with this sentence?
"The parade of RVs pull out in front of us."
The writer succumbed to the error, made ever more popular by brain-dead broadcasters, that the verb should agree with the most recent noun, not the subject of the sentence.
In this case, the subject is "parade" so the verb should be singular - "pulls."
Just sayin'.
